Formerly known as “Sensory Lab”, Workshop Coffee Co is a delightful coffee shop just down the road from my “second home” Selfridges.

Workshop Coffee Co is owned by the same people as the massively popular St Ali, a café which first opened in Melbourne, followed by a second branch in Farringdon in London.

Its top-quality coffee and prime location makes Workshop Coffee Co a gem in Central London.

Note, though, that only a small selection of pastry is available, so if you are looking for a grilled steak and cheese panini to go with your coffee, you are better off heading to Starbucks.

I could just sit here all day watching pedestrians and buses go by…

…except my heart went out to the tired, pitiful customers standing behind me. Indeed, my only complaint is the insufficient seating – perhaps less of a problem in a country densely populated by sheep, but here in London Zone 1, more stools would be greatly appreciated!
