I love writing about food more than anything else, so when I decide to write about a beauty product on my blog, that product is usually quite special!

The special thing about Nature Republic‘s Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel is that it is incredibly convenient. Just taking a step back, Nature Republic is a Korean skincare brand that emphasises the use of natural ingredients in its products. This Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel is an improvement on an earlier version that only contained 90% aloe vera, and is paraben-, mineral oil- and articial colours-free, which means that it actually contains less harmful or articial chemicals than most of your expensive skincare!

The aloe vera gel has a gel-like consistency (but is more on the watery side) and has a light, refreshing scent. The reason I find it convenient is that you can pretty much use it for everything: on your body and on your face, as a moisturiser, face mask and eye mask and on sunburns, scars, acnes, insect bites and sensitive/ irritated skin.

You can use it on almost everything because aloe vera gel has natural properties that is soothing, moisturing and anti-inflammatory on skin.

As I have dry skin, this aloe vera gel is not moisturising enough for me to use as a face cream on a daily basis. I personally prefer using it on my arms and legs or on the under eye area as an eye mask – it apparently helps reduce puffiness (I can’t tell if it really works though)!

Anway, this all-in-one aloe vera gel is multi-purpose, cheap and reliable. You can buy these in stores in Hong Kong such as Sasa, or you can of course buy them next time you go to Korea, but they would be rather heavy to carry back to Hong Kong!
