I have been intrigued by Artisan Room, an all-day cafe in Shek Tong Tsui operated by the same group as Cobo House, as soon as I saw its photos on social media. This cafe is just so incredibly artsy and beautiful!
Just like Cobo House, this cafe has both an indoor and an al fresco area, and is a cosy and intimate space.
I forego my usual latte, and instead order an almond milk macchiato ($42). The coffee is deliciously strong, and I love the silky, fragrant almond milk.
The Peachy Summer ($38) is a signature summer drink here. Made with organic peach tea and peach gum, which is apparently highly nutritious and boasts many health benefits, this tea drink is utterly refreshing and the level of sweetness is perfect.
The éclairs are not to be missed! There are many flavours to choose from, and my vanilla and almond éclair ($42) tastes absolutely gorgeous.
We also share a sour tuna salad ($60), which is contained in a beautiful ball-shaped container – talk about eating in style! The salad leaves are grown in Hong Kong’s first Okinawa sea sand garden (i.e. using Okinawa sea sand instead of soil) on the rooftop of the cafe, and are 100% organic and apparently very nutritious thanks to the sea sand.
Due to its popularity, this cafe tends to get quite busy in the weekend. I have the privilege to go during a weekday when it is not too packed, and find that it is such a lovely oasis in the city!
