Everyone is getting super excited about Rio Olympic Games 2016, and I am no exception! I am in Macau for an overnight trip (see my review of the hotel room here), and what is more befitting than having some Brazilian barbecue for dinner?
Belcancao is located on the ground floor of the hotel, and serves a selection of Asian and Western cuisine in a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. The one thing you have to know about Macau in general is that most of the buffet restaurants here offer exceptional value, and Belcancao is no exception! Buffer dinner here costs MOP498 per head from Monday – Thursday, and MOP598 per head from Friday – Sunday, and the Brazilian barbecue is available from now until 31 August 2016.
I start off my meal with a cocktail (MOP88) and am surprised to see that it does not come in a glass, but in a jar!
The restaurant is currently offering Brazilian barbecue meats and the meats are freshly grilled in the outdoor area of the restaurant. Just looking at this makes me hungry!
Waiters then bring the barbecued meats around the dining area to offer them to guests. These grilled chicken wings are sizzling hot and very enticing!
I also thoroughly enjoy the grilled sirloin steaks.
There are 3 Brazilian dipping sauces to go with the meats. If you are not a heavy meat eater, be sure to try out the grilled garlic bread and cinnamon pineapple!
There is an excellent selection at the buffet, including a cold seafood bar with freshly shucked oysters and lobsters.
There is are also a range of meats, such as roast beef, barbecued pork, roast goose and steamed fish.
For carb-lovers, you can feast yourself at the pasta or soup noodle stations.
The desserts do not disappoint, and I particularly adore their corner of Portuguese desserts, including the Portuguese egg tart and molotoff.
