I just got back to Asia for a few days and I immediately have to head to Macau for a quick overnight trip. I am often spoiled for choice when it comes to hotels in Macau, and this time, I am staying at the Four Seasons Macau, Cotai Strip. As it is an operation by the Sands Resorts Macao group, Four Seasons is also connected to other hotels operated by the group within a giant complex, including The Venetian Macao, Conrad Macao Hotel and Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel.
Like other Four Seasons hotels around the world, Four Seasons Macao excudes an air of opulence, luxury and serenity. However, unlike other Four Seasons hotels, a night’s stay does not come at an exorbitant price tag, thanks to the competitive pricing of Macau hotels in general.
The lobby of the hotel, with marble services and curved staircases, is homely as well as inviting.
The hotel room is decently sized, and the warm tones of light gold with chestnut-brown accents make for an elegant and homely setting.
The bed and down feather pillows are comfortable. My only complaint of the room is that I don’t quite like having a mirror right next to the bed, but then if you follow my blog you will know that I am very picky when it comes the interior design of hotel rooms (e.g. see my review of Puli Hotel in Shanghai here).
I love how they provide a Chinese tea set in the hotel room – just looking at this tea set makes me feel more cultured already!
The marble bathroom is spacious and comes with both a bathtub and a rain shower compartment.
The amenities are from L’Occitane.
Buffet breakfast is served at Belcancao, a restaurant serving international cuisine. The restaurant offers a great selection, such as pastries, fresh fruits, and other hot breakfast foods.
I decide to start my breakfast with a hot cup of latte and some muesli with fresh berries.
There are also Chinese breakfast items, such as congee and youtiao, and these are delicious!
